“While we were contemplating, it seemed that from the sky, covered with graceful clouds, a small strip of Mary’s mantle appeared here and there, in strips of sky of the most marvellous celestial quality, which seemed enchanting. From time to time it seemed to some that Mary, the dear and most perfect image of Jesus, was looking at us. Just as a small cloud hit by the sun becomes so beautiful and luminous that the copy is hardly distinguishable from the original, so does Mary appear to us with her divine beauty, that she seems to be one and the same thing with the lovely Jesus…”
