Today, we celebrated the 76th Anniversary of the Canonization of Mother Cabrini!

During the morning, the Chapter participants, sisters and laity, shared at table on the question ‘What have we discovered from all that has been spoken so far during the Chapter? What have you heard that you consider particularly important to the future of the Institute and its global mission?’ Key issues for the Institute and Mission were then offered from each table, as we sought to clarify priorities for our further reflection and discussion.

At lunchtime, we all celebrated with gratitude the gift of Mother Cabrini to the Church, the Institute and each of us.

Our first afternoon session focused on ‘Being Cabrinian today’ – what are the essential characteristics that would identify our missionary activities, wherever they are, as ‘Cabrinian’?

Following this, the Chapter Assembly asked, in light of the ‘signs of the times’, the pressing needs of today, and our reality: ‘Where is God calling us now?’ This helped us contemplate and voice our ‘Mission Priorities’.
