It is with joy that we receive the second volume in Spanish of the Letters of St. Frances Cabrini. In 2019 Sister Barbara Staley, when she was Superior General of the Institute together with her General Council, requested the translation of the four volumes already published into the mother tongue of the Institute, Italian.

The Spanish translation includes unpublished letters, documents, photographs and Mother Cabrini’s recently published correspondence with Monsignor Scalabrini and Monsignor Corrigan, then Bishop of New York.

Both volumes feature the analytical index and biographical notes augmented with new entries. The aim is to facilitate consultation and to benefit more from the writings so rich in valuable advice for strengthening the Charism and leading its daughters, with all love, on the path to holiness.

In December, the third volume will be published. We hope with all our hearts that these documents will help to renew and strengthen our spirituality and to feel that Mother, over time, continues to speak to her daughters and, by extension, also to the lay people who accompany them.

We would like to thank Sister Barbara Staley and her General Council who during the last eight years in office have strongly desired this project. We especially thank Ms. Ana María Cerri, who edited the translation of these letters with care and dedication. Thank you!
