A solemn Eucharistic celebration and conference was held today, August 19, at Immaculate Conception Parish in St. Paul to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the birth of the Faculty of Theology of Our Lady of the Assumption of PUC- SP and the 10th anniversary of the birth of the Faculty of Canon Law of St. Paul the Apostle.
The ceremony was presided over by Cardinal Don José Tolentino de Mendonça, prefect of the Holy See’s Dicastery for Culture and Education; followed by a lecture given by His Eminence the Cardinal Prefect after the Eucharistic celebration.
The event was organized by Cardinal Scherer, Metropolitan Archbishop of São Paulo, Grand Chancellor.
Also scheduled for Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. is a visit and meeting by Cardinal Tolentino de Mendonça at the Santa Marcelina Faculty with representatives of colleges, schools and other Catholic institutions of education and university pastoral care. Also scheduled were some other initiatives for Cardinal Tolentino de Mendonça for tomorrow, August 20; in fact, the Cardinal Prefect was involved in several celebrations and academic events from August 18 to 20.
This August 19 event was attended by the postulants in religious life Francesca and Joana together with the formator Sr. Rosa Maria and other sisters.
