In Uganda, the government has taken preventive measures against the Covid 19. The educational and commercial centers, transportation, airport, churches, the borders, have been locked since March 19th; only transportation of food can circulate. There has been a constant struggle to prevent the spread of the virus CV 19, using the media such as propaganda, videos, music to persuade people to wash their hands frequently, wear masks, etc. The Government, the Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng and the churches of different denomination have been helping people to prevent the spread of the disease. The first people to be infected were transport personnel from the different borders: Tanzanian, Kenyans, South Sudanese, and Ugandans.

Between March and May 31, 457 people were infected, and two people died from the Corona Virus.  From June to September 15, there were 5256 infected and 58 dead.  The Government has received many donations from international organizations to take preventive measures from Covid 19.  With these donations we could equip hospitals for infected people. We are already in the fourth stage of infection. The number of people infected with Covid 19 is increasing every day and hygienic and social distancing measures are still being taken throughout the country. Churches and schools are still closed, and people can only go out to buy food.   Children are receiving lessons via radio, which is a challenge both for them and for the teachers.  We all remain united to prevent the spread of infection and with God’s help we will continue to do so. “I can do all things through him who strengthens me. I”, Phil. 4,13.
