Today, on International Youth Day, we rediscover these beautiful photos from the pilgrimage of many young people in July to the Cabrini Shrine in New York.

“Last week the Shrine welcomed over 1,500 teens on pilgrimage en route to the Redemptoris Mater conference being held in Gettysburg, PA. It was wonderful to meet so many young people engaged in their faith, seeking Christ, and asking the intercession of Mother Cabrini.

We hosted groups from California, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Missouri. Some came for a docent talk and quiet prayer. Others chose to celebrate Mass or sing morning prayer. Almost everyone took time to watch our new video about the canonization, and many visited the “pop up” museum to learn even more about St. Frances Cabrini.

We asked the young people — just as we ask all our visitors — to dedicate a few minutes of their prayer time to the needs of refugees and migrants around the world.

If you would like to bring a group on pilgrimage, we would love to have you. Call us at 212-923-3536 to schedule your visit. We look forward to greeting you!” – From https://cabrinishrinenyc.org/pilgrimages/
