“In the Sanctuary of Grace, I remain contemplating Mary, because I want to live the Word in the same way that she lived it.”
On September 29, in addition to celebrating the feast of the three archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, and Bible Day (September 30), the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the educational community of the Cabrini School Network participated in a pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Aparecida. The Mass was celebrated by the Redemptorist missionary, Father Mauro Vilela da Silva, and animated by Brother Alan Patrick Zuccherato. In addition to a beautiful Eucharistic celebration, we had the opportunity to attend an inspiring conference by Brother Alan, who spoke about Marian spirituality and the joy of “being a pilgrim”.

Hallo
I saw the mother Cabrini movie soon after it came out here in Toronto, Canada area. I saw it with a friend. We both enjoyed it.
I was already familiar either Mother as I went to a school in Montreal named after her, I worked teaching French to anglophone nurses at the Santa Cabrini Hospital when I was a student .
Sister Consolata Demma gave me a book on Mother Cabrini in French called “ sans Sac Ni Baton”. She even dedicated the book.
When I was a student I worked as a gardener with the sisters of La Congregation de Notre Dame in their huge property in Montreal. Good memories.
That was in the early ‘70’s. There were many nuns at that time. There are none left now.
Wonder shy?
Dropping the habit was the main reason.
Invisibility!
It is sad to watch these octogenarian nuns in nursing homes being looked after by nurses rather than by members of their own congregations.
I feel sorry for them but it they bring this on to themselves? Dropped the habit…..no more vocations……and the sad end of the communities.
Look at the communities that have kept t heir habits…..there are many young sisters there!
This drop in vocations is sad as I feel that Sisters have done a great job for civilization in general. I wonder how the founders sew of these communities feel watching their foundations disappear.
I wonder how Mother Cabrini feels……..all these unrecognizeable sisters!
Everything comes to an end…..but in the case of these invisible religious male or female……it is desired suicide.
Ironic that the Church condemns assisted suicide.
Good luck to them.
