On October 21 the second formation meeting dedicated to St. Joseph was held at the Curia in Rome.
Sister Maria Regina Canale MSC General Assistant, accompanied us on an ever deeper and more surprising discovery of the patron saint of the Universal Church. In the history of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Joseph represents in fact a fundamental point of reference, after the Sacred Heart and Our Lady. Mother Cabrini chose him as the Protector of the Institute she founded.
Last Thursday’s meeting was then enriched by an interesting study carried out on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death. In fact, Sister Maria Regina first deepened and then shared the link between Saint Joseph and the father of the Italian language, making connections between these two figures who are so important, for different reasons, for our culture. For example St. Joseph was mentioned in the Divine Comedy.
In addition, the Holy Father dedicated “Candor Lucis Aeternae” to Dante. the Apostolic Letter written on the occasion of the 7th centenary of Dante Alighieri’s death. As always, it was a very heartfelt meeting for which all of us at the Curia are grateful.
The next training appointments are scheduled for Thursday, November 25 and Thursday, December 9.
