CIS-NYC‘s staff and volunteers have mobilized quickly to shift our legal and social services to take place virtually, and to meet the growing needs of our community members, many of whom are finding themselves jobless, sick, or unable to pay their bills. Many in New York City are struggling to pay for groceries. CIS-NYC’s Food Pantry has stayed open and our wonderful staff and employees have remained committed to serving the 750 families who depend on this service. We are also incredibly grateful to the many donors who have contributed to our emergency fund for immigrant families, which has allowed us to assist families who are struggling and unable to leave their homes.
