A roundtable discussion on “Faith and Works of Mercy”

On July 3, a roundtable discussion was held in Novosibirsk on the topic “Faith and Works of Mercy.” Sr. Tatiana, MSC, served as moderator. During the meeting, members of various Christian groups shared their experiences: the Catholic community was represented by the Caritas group; the Russian Orthodox Church by the charitable service group of the “Community of Martha and Mary” and by a nursing home for the elderly; while the Lutherans presented their charitable work through their mission in liturgical music and a museum called “The Angels.” The “Hidden World” movement, which brings together Christians of various denominations, explained how its charitable work unites those who profess their faith in Christ. Following the roundtable discussion, a photography exhibition was opened, dedicated to people who participate in summer camps alongside individuals with disabilities. The day concluded with a benefit concert for those in attendance, for the city of Novosibirsk, and for the various organizations working on behalf of people in need.
