Cabrini’s redevelopment activity continues to progress as we prepare for construction of our new East Building.
The early works program currently underway is delivering essential site preparation and underground services infrastructure. This work will continue through August and September, with the main building contractor expected to be appointed in September ahead of major construction commencing later in the year.
From Monday 17 August, the outdoor car park on the corner of Coonil Crescent and Wattletree Road will permanently close and become part of the construction site.
Works taking place during August and into September include:
• Delivery of construction materials to site
• Trenching and underground service rerouting
• Boring beneath the hospital driveway
• Removal of asphalt, debris and trees
• Demolition of the existing dwellings on Coonil Crescent
• Rebuilding of pedestrian walkways
• Mobilisation of construction and demolition equipment
Temporary lane closures, traffic management and pedestrian diversions will be introduced as required.
Patients and visitors may experience longer travel times when entering or exiting the campus and public car park, particularly during peak periods. Please allow extra time for your journey.
