In the Generalate we prepared for the Holy Easter of the Resurrection by meditating on the Stations of the Cross, each related to one of the offices of the Generalate.
The entire Educational Community of the Cabrini School in Madrid gathered with joy and contemplative recollection to celebrate a meaningful Eucharist on the occasion of Easter. Students, teachers, families and school staff shared this special moment, remembering the message of hope, life and renewal brought by the Resurrection of Jesus. The celebration was full of songs, readings and acts that reflected the spirit of unity and faith that characterizes the community making it a special occasion to strengthen Christian values and experience the Easter joy together.
Easter in Ethiopia. This year the Ethiopian Easter is celebrated one week after the Gregorian Easter. On Good Friday, Sr. Amarech Herego and Sr. Evarlyne Ndeti joined the faithful of the parish of Sant'Anna in Sadama for a day of solemn reflection and devotion. The day began with a procession of the Way of the Cross led by the parish priest, Abba Geziegn Mancha, together with catechists and various parishioners.
In Minas Gerais, in Brazil, there was a Mission during Holy Week in Coração de Jesus (MG) and nearby cities. It was a time for encounter, faith and sharing, lived with simplicity and missionary spirit. In these days, the meetings with the leaders and the recitation of the Rosary were characterized by listening and communion. The sharing of the practices of 2026 Fraternity Campaign was a concrete invitation to live the faith in everyday life. Sr. Gloria Caixeta, Sr. Luciana Galdina and the novices Francisca and Jana D'arque participated in this mission. May this missionary presence continue to bring forth fruit in the hearts and communities visited. Sr. Gloria, Sr. Luciana and the novices Francisca and Jana D'arque attended Mass during Holy Week. The 2026 Fraternity Campaign practices were shared at Coração de Jesus, Minas Gerais. In Mairipotaba (GO) in Brazil, a mission was led in preparation for Easter. It was a time for encounter, faith and dedication, experienced with simplicity and joy. Sr. Albertina Ghisleri Goulart, Sr. Nora Maria Tavares and the postulant, Stéphany, participated in this mission. At the Cabrini School in Madrid, after celebrating Thursday and Good Friday, they celebrated Holy Easter on April 9. The Cabrini nursing home also celebrated! The Easter celebration concluded with the grand finale of a prize raffle, made possible thanks to the dedication, passion, and generosity of our extraordinary volunteers. Every action and every contribution is of immense value. The proceeds will go toward providing pet therapy sessions for the residents of the Santa Francesca Cabrini Nursing Home in Codogno, bringing them smiles, joy, and genuine well-being. There was no lack of music, which filled the air with joy, thanks to Felix, and a kind thought for everyone was shared with affection. Holy Week at the Boni Consilii School in Brazil was marked by reflection, sharing and hospitality. During Holy Week, the students enjoyed special experiences prepared with great care by the Pastoral Ministry and the teachers. Pathways, experiential activities and dialogue were organized that helped to understand the true meaning of this period. The children of the Via Anagni daycare in Rome also prepared for Easter, as did the children in other schools in Italy. At Villa Amelia they prepared by dedicating time to the Easter pastry workshop! Obviously, there were also several Easter celebrations in Nicaragua; with much joy and hope they held a Eucharistic celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord held in Escuela Sagrada Familia No. 1. On April 9 and 10, again in Nicaragua, their Eucharistic Easter Thursday was an experience full of joy and faith. On April 15 the Saint Cabrini Youth Center celebrated Holy Easter with a Mass.
At Cabrini of Westchester, on the other hand, the Guadalupe Province held a roundtable discussion during Holy Week on the theme: “Discovering the Richness of the Holy Days.” The speakers were: Holy Thursday—Fr. Ron Galt; Good Friday—Patricia Spana, a Cabrini volunteer; Holy Saturday—Christina Tiesi, a pastoral assistant, and Sister Christina Dougherty, a resident at Cabrini. Holy Week at the Cabrini care facility was a beautiful and intense experience. Throughout the week, we were given the opportunity to go to confession; to meditate on the Seven Last Words of Jesus; to listen to reflections on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday, culminating in a moving Good Friday service.
