On Tuesday of this week, Sister Regina Palamara, MSC helped celebrate the establishment of October 13 as Mother Cabrini Day in the city of Los Angeles. She was welcomed to Los Angeles City Hall by members of the Little Italy Association and Councilmembers John Lee and Tim McOsker, who spent three years moving the project through to completion.
Moving through the crowd chatting in English and Italian, Sister left waves of laughter and smiles in her wake. The Italian Consul General, Raffaella Valentini, enjoyed chatting with Sister Regina about the history of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart and their journey to the United States.
As the dignitaries gathered for final photos, Sister quieted them for a moment and shared a quick prayer to Saint Cabrini, blessing their leadership and the people they were called to serve. Happy Cabrini Day!
