Guadalupe Assembly 2026

On the afternoon of October 25, 2026, the Guadalupe Province Assembly began. Its purpose is the formation of sisters and laypeople, and to continue reflecting on the Constitutions. The event began with the registration of all participants. Afterward, they participated in the Eucharist and dinner. To conclude, a welcome session was held. It began with a hymn to Our Lady of Guadalupe in honor of the Jubilee Year of Guadalupe. Next, the Provincial Superior, Sr. Lucy Panettieri, greeted everyone, extended a warm welcome, and introduced the advisors. She also asked the lay collaborators participating for the first time to introduce themselves. Afterward, she asked the sisters who are members of her Council to introduce themselves. She also announced that Sister Gilda Mendoza Argueta, General Councilor, was present and conveyed greetings from the Superior General, Sister Maria Eliane Azevedo Da Silva, and her Council.

On October 26, the day’s work began with the celebration of the Eucharist. This was followed by the first session: Reconnecting Through the Person and the Mission.

In the second session of the afternoon, we heard from the ministries and reflected on our experience. Presentations were given by the ministries of health, education, migration, the Cabrini Missionary Foundation, the Shrines, California, the Cabrini Senior Residence, the Immigration Commission Team, Youth Ministry, and Vocational Ministry. These ministries presented in three blocks. This was followed by a question-and-answer session. The day ended with a summary and a closing prayer.
