The Maria Bonino Foundation is organizing an evening event entitled "Incontro all'Africa con Maria Bonino – 2025", a traditional end-of-year event that brings together friends, volunteers, and supporters to share the results achieved, provide updates on the progress of ongoing projects, and present the initiatives planned for 2026.
This year's edition has a particularly profound meaning, as it represents the conclusion of the cycle of events dedicated to the memory of Maria Bonino, on the twentieth anniversary of her passing. The initiative is organized with the sponsorship of the Province of Biella, the Municipality of Biella, and the Municipality of Camandona.
The evening of December 11 will also be an opportunity for testimony and in-depth discussion. The guest will be Sister Barbara Staley, Superior of the Holy Spirit Region of the Order of the Sisters of Mother Cabrini. The Maria Bonino Foundation has already collaborated with the Congregation in the past, supporting projects in Swaziland (now eSwatini) and Ethiopia. In her speech, Sister Barbara will share her testimony on the project supported by the Foundation since 2023. This valuable contribution will draw attention to the daily work carried out in the most fragile contexts and the concrete impact of the projects supported.
