Message from the Superior General for the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees

On the occasion of the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, on behalf of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I express my solidarity with the children and adolescents who suffer because they have had to leave their homeland and adapt to the new challenges of a foreign land. As Jesus said: “Whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me” (Mt 18:5)

Likewise, Pope Leo XIV also urges us to stand in solidarity with those living in conditions of migration and exile. May we, as the Church and as a society, open our minds, our hearts, our eyes, and our actions to solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are suffering and hoping for a new life of dignity.

Let us recognize that migrants and refugees are people who call for respect and the dignity of human life. May we join hands, as a network of people in solidarity, so that all may “have life, and have it in abundance” (Jn 10:10)
