MSC meetings on youth ministry and vocations in Madrid

MSC meetings on youth ministry and vocations in Madrid

The first day was dedicated to reflecting on one's vocation and sharing one's vocational experience in the Institute of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This working group thanks all those who accompany the commitment of each one in the field of youth and vocational ministry throughout the Institute for their prayers and support.

During the second day of the meeting of the Youth and Vocational Ministry group gathered in Madrid, we reflected on concepts such as “youth” and “vocational.” The day ended with sharing what kind of youth and vocational ministry we dream of as Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

On the third day, the group worked with strength analysis to see how the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus has been involved in vocational and youth ministry in the past, present, and future, looking at the spirit of gratitude towards the sisters who have been involved in youth and vocational ministry all these years. In the afternoon, priorities were highlighted in order to then develop strategies for the Cabrinian youth and vocational ministry plan.

The fourth day (January 30) of the youth and vocational ministry meeting in Madrid was dedicated to developing strategic guidelines for the pastoral project. The work was divided into various themes: vocational culture, identity, visibility, formation, leadership, communication, and interconnection.

On January 31, the MSC sisters took a walk through Madrid and then attended Mass at the Church of St. Joseph, which Mother Cabrini visited during her stay in Madrid. On February 1 at 6 p.m., there was a meeting with young people from the parish of St. Paula in Madrid. Also on Sunday, the project was finalized and the work was completed.
