The Story of Violeta, the Centennial Mascot of Colegio Madre Cabrini in Brazil
A story born from our students’ creativity that came to life to celebrate our centennial!
It is with great joy that we introduce Violeta, the mascot of the Cabrini Cup—Centennial Edition!
But before taking over the courts and winning hearts, our Violeta began as a drawing.
It all began in 2025, when student Bianca Gualhanone Dantas Santos, during a Physical Education class activity, drew the first lines of the turtle that would come to represent the Cabrini Cup in the year our school celebrates 100 years of history.
In 2026, this creation took on new meaning with the participation of students from Early Childhood Education and Elementary School—Early Years, who contributed suggestions for the mascot’s name.
Among so many creative and heartfelt ideas, one name was chosen: Violeta!
The choice holds a very special meaning. Violets are part of Mother Cabrini’s childhood memories; she used to place small flowers in the paper boats she set adrift on the water, dreaming of taking her mission to distant lands.
Just like those little boats, our Violeta also carries dreams, courage, and the joy of moving forward.
More than just a mascot, she represents our students’ creativity, team spirit, friendship, and the values that span generations.
Welcome, Violeta! May you join us for an unforgettable Cabrini Cup!
Thanks to the school's Facebook page for this story!
