The St. Frances Cabrini Province held its Provincial Assembly from April 11 to 13 at the “Cabrini” Retreat House (CABA), Argentina, focusing on the theme of the Constitutions.
The gathering began with a virtual greeting from the Superior General, Sr. María Eliane Azevedo da Silva, MSC, who encouraged the sisters to approach this time with a spirit of discernment and fidelity to the charism. Next, the Provincial Superior, Sr. Rosa de Lima Soares, MSC, offered the opening remarks, setting the tone for the work to be carried out during the Assembly.
The Assembly benefited from the valuable facilitation of Sr. Mercedes Donato, S.C.M.R., and Fr. Mauro Vilela, C.Ss.R., who guided the process of reflection and deepening. The General Assistant of the Province, Sr. Stella Maris Elena, MSC, also participated.
These were days lived in an atmosphere of deep reflection, communion, fraternity, and unity, during which the work was carried out with responsibility and objectivity, seeking to respond faithfully to current challenges.
During the sessions, the Eucharist was celebrated each afternoon, presided over by Fr. Mauro Vilela; and on Sunday, at the conclusion of the celebration, the blessing of the renovated facilities of the “Cabrini” Retreat House took place, in which the sisters participated in a procession alongside the celebrant.
We give thanks to the Lord for this time of grace, which continues to foster the growth and strengthening of provincial life.
