The month of August, dedicated to the various vocations in the church, presents the theme of the Vocation Year 2023 “Vocation: Grace and Mission”, and the motto of “Hearts burning, feet on the way” (Lk 24:32-33). God calls his children to a vocational response to the priesthood, marriage, religious consecration and lay ministries in the Church. This call is a gift and a grace for the common good of all.
The vocation to religious life is a special gift that young women receive from God to proclaim the Gospel and to live the religious vows in community for the mission. This specific vocation of consecration is realized by entering a religious Congregation. Each religious Congregation has its own charism, according to the guidelines of its founders. Our Congregation “Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus”, founded in 1880 by St. Frances Cabrini, has a missionary charism to bring the love of Christ to all.
