“Meanwhile we have come to one of the most beautiful days that the Holy Church can celebrate, day, here by nature, the most beautiful because the gardens and lawns are all a flower, day truly fragrant, for faith then, day the dearest as that which by the whole Church is consecrated to her who is not only the most beautiful of flowers, the most olezzante and spiraling angelic virtue, the most fragrant that came out of the creative hands of God: our dear Immaculate, creature the holiest, the most lovable and dear to God and to us for that title that summarizes all the reasons and all the duties of our hearts to her. Yes, the Immaculate is the dear Mother of our beloved Jesus and is the dear Mother of us.” (From “Untie and Put on Wings” edited by Sister Maria Barbagallo).
On this day of the Immaculate Conception we share two excerpts from the Epistolary of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini:
“Study to imitate the Immaculate and see in short all the Sisters to imitate the Dear our Mother and to love Jesus very much, that, if we know how to love Him very much on earth and as faithful Spouses, after a few days we will enjoy an ineffable joy that never again can take away from us.“
“May the Immaculate spread her white mantle over you and over all this dear Community and make you ever more dear to the Lovable Jesus. “
We welcome these prayers and good wishes into the hearts of each of us. May Mary’s mantle protect us in this difficult time of pandemic, especially those who are alone and have lost loved ones.
