The twelve promises of the Sacred Heart

  1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state.
  2. I will put peace in their families.
  3. I will comfort them in all their sorrows.
  4. I will be their safe haven during their life and especially at their death.
  5. I will shed abundant blessings on all their undertakings.
  6. Sinners will find in my Heart the fountain and endless ocean of mercy.
  7. Lukewarm souls will become fervent.
  8. Fervent souls will rise to great perfection.
  9. I will bless homes where the image of my Sacred Heart will be displayed and honored.
  10. I will give priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
  11. People who propagate this devotion will have their name written in my Heart, where it will never be erased.
  12. I promise in the excess of my Heart’s mercy that my almighty love will grant all those who take communion on the first Friday of the month for nine consecutive months the grace of final penance.
They will not die in my misfortune, nor without receiving the Sacraments, and my Heart will be their safe refuge in that extreme hour.

“The image of the “rivers of living water,” flowing from the pierced Heart of Jesus, and then gushing out also from the hearts of believers, is part of the heritage of the history of devotion to the Sacred Heart. With the opening of the Heart of the Redeemer, who beat with love and suffered for us until to his last breath, concludes the first act of the glorification of the Father and Jesus in the mystery of Easter, which will be followed by the glorious resurrection of the Lord and the sending of the Spirit.” – Bernard Haring
