On July 21st Cabrini Immigrant Services of NYC held a family trip to a water park in West Berlin, New Jersey. Fifteen families with a total of 53 people had the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day at the pools. Our goal was to bring families together and to offer them the chance to enjoy themselves without the stress of everyday life. For many, to go together to places like this one means a lot of financial investment.
Some CIS-NYC staff participated as well to connect with our clients and spend time with them. Lunch was also provided for everyone, and the day went on without worries about food or rain. At the end of our journey, we thanked God for the blessings received. All of our participants were showing gratitude for the great opportunity to be away with their children. As expected, some children wanted the experience repeated very soon!
